Dr. Gloria Weatherspoon, the “Engagement Strategist” is a retired United States Air Force, Chief Master Sergeant, with over 27 years of leadership and workforce development expertise. She is a highly decorated combat veteran, with her highest award being the Legion of Merit for exemplary leadership and service to the United States of America. Gloria has an extensive background in Employee Engagement, Change Management, and Coaching. Gloria retired as Joint Senior Enlisted Leader of the Department of Defense Center of Excellence for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Patrick Space Force Base Florida. She served as the principal consultant on mission effectiveness, utilization, training, readiness, and development of 4500 joint military and civilian students, faculty, and contract personnel
Her strategic vision and decision-making were fundamental in shaping the Diversity and Inclusion program policy, training, and instruction, impacting over 3.8 million personnel across the Department of Defense and multiple governmental agencies. Post-retirement, she launched her company, Space Coast People Solutions, and has partnered with the Wiley Brand, to empower individuals and businesses by providing innovative and uniquely tailored human performance solutions to fit specific organizational needs.
Gloria is not only a highly skilled Engagement Strategist professionally, but she also lends her talents to her community. She serves in multiple leadership positions across the Space Coast. She is the 2nd Vice President of the Omega Omicron Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated; a community-conscious, action-oriented organization. She is a board member for Hey, Blue!”, an organization dedicated to building connections between police officers and community members, she is a member of the Board of Advisors for the Cloud Family Foundation, Inc. Orlando-based non-profit that focuses on STEM-related activities and scholarships. Additionally, she serves her native home as the Vice President of Trash 2 Treasure Inc., a Philadelphia non-profit focused on environmental justice. Lastly, she is a member of the executive board of directors for the Women’s Air and Space Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to honoring the achievements of both past and present service of women in the Air and Space Forces.
Dr. Weatherspoon has delivered speeches on leading high-performing teams, personal motivation, and social impact to over 10,000 leaders and hosted over one thousand workshops. Stories about her leadership were published in a book titled “The Women We Watched” Tributes from the People of the US Air and Space Force.” She has dedicated over one thousand hours of community service and led large projects fostering an environment of mentorship and growth for young women, she is the Chair for the annual EmpowHERment Summit for Women and Girls, and co-chair for an entrepreneur networking event for women in central, Florida.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership and was awarded an honorary Ph.D. in June 2022 for her impact on government and her leadership and integrity in the world of business. She is currently pursuing a 2nd master’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology and her associate coaching credential from the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Gloria is a graduate of Lead Brevard Class of 2023 and holds a myriad of certifications in administering personality assessments and coaching.

Gloria is originally from Philadelphia and moved to the Space Coast in 2018, she has since made the Space Coast her home. She enjoys spending time being a Momtor (Mom and Mentor) to her 4 amazing adult children and spending time with her Old English Bulldog, Sampson.
